Liam Neeson is an Irish actor who makes a surprise cameo in The Orville as Jahavus Dorahl.
Background[]
An Academy Award-winning actor, Liam Neeson has a reputation for starring in multiple popular action related films such as the Taken franchise, Non-Stop, and The Grey. He is also very well known for playing Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List and Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.
Neeson had worked with Seth MacFarlane whilst starring in the comedy film A Million Ways to Die in the West, and the two became friends.[1]
The Orville[]
Neeson joined The Orville as a favor to MacFarlane, making an unannounced cameo in the episode If the Stars Should Appear in the form of a recording by the deceased captain Jahavus Dorahl.[1] Production crew of The Orville had to film Neeson in New York City,[2] as he was unable to leave to film in the 20th Century Fox studios in Los Angeles.[1]
