Vote Badges are devices worn by people on Sargus 4.
History
For unrevealed reasons the natives of Sargus 4 developed a social system in which everything is ruled by direct democracy, or popular vote. For this reason all adults must wear a vote badge, with the failure to do so resulting in arrest. The badges allow other people to give an up vote or a down vote to the person wearing it.
If someone gets one million down votes they are arrested and must go on an Apology tour.
